ABOUT BETH JOSELOW

In addition to the wisdom I have gained from family, friends, students, children and many generous mentors, I have had formal training at Johns Hopkins University, where I earned the M.S. degree in Clinical Community Counseling. I am a member of the American Counseling Association and am a Licensed Professional Counselor in Delaware. My work history includes counseling in community mental health centers, with cancer support groups and with survivors of rape and sexual abuse at agencies in Delaware and in Washington, DC. I also had extensive training in Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy in a program for children who have experienced trauma.

I have a second Master's degree in creative writing, and have taught writing for more than 20 years. In recent years, I have developed a workshop to engage people in "writing for wellness" practices. I am the author of Writing Without the Muse, a book of writing exercises for people of all ages, and two books of advice for making it through the difficult passage of divorce.
